Brothers In Blood

Project Pain are a thrash metal band from the Netherlands formed in 2011, releasing their debut album 'I Have Sinned' the following year. The bands second album 'Thrashed To Kill' was released in 2015, displaying a savage brutality similar in style to iconic bands Kreator and Slayer. There was a three year gap between the bands first and second album, and by coincidence there is also three years between their second and third album... 'Brothers In Blood' was released in 2018.

Project Pain are a savagely aggressive thrash metal band, who deliver an explosive barrage of brutality. The bands latest offering, 'Brothers In Blood' continues their furiously fierce aural assault, an assault that began six years ago with the release of (their debut album) 'I Have Sinned'. None of their aggression has dissipated over the years, with 'Brothers In Blood' (the album) a thrash metal masterpiece of monolithic proportions. Thundering into life, the album is quick off the mark with 'Primator'. Jack hammer riffing blasts its way through the airways, and Project Pain are thrashing harder than ever. The heaviness that resonates from every song hits you harder than an out of control wrecking ball, and with the mighty 'Final March' kicking harder than an MMA fighter, Project Pain are close to taking over the mantle of "most brutally aggressive thrash metal band" from the likes of Kreator and Slayer. If you don't believe me, then just take a listen to 'Silent Invader' . . . three minutes of fiercely furious thrash metal that will bang heads so violently, neck muscles may be ripped to pieces.

Project Pain offer ten songs across thirty minutes, the last time a band offered this numerical combination was thirty two years ago, changing the thrash metal genre forever. Are Project Pain about to do the same? Quite possibly... Fists aggressively punch the air as the mosh pit goes wild for 'Eternal Flames'. Slaughtering anything standing in its way, 'Eternal Flames' is rampant, urgent and furious thrash metal. The pace of the album is already quick, but fuck me it gets even quicker as 'Decay' scorches into sight and sets off at high velocity. Heads blur as head banging gets quicker and you'll also find heart rates increasing too, as adrenaline starts pumping hard such is the effect of this powerful display of majestic thrash metal. The title song 'Brothers In Blood' is more of a traditional "foot on the monitor" style romp, very heavy and very aggressive. Keep those heads banging, there is no time for a break...

...unless it's your neck from all the violent head banging. 'Regret Nothing' is a furious volley of pummelling riffs. Aggressive and in your face, 'Regret Nothing' is a thunderous cacophony of thrash metal. 'Fuelled By Fear' is a thirty second chilling and spine tingling intro that leads into the furious 'Driven By Hate'. Throughout the entire album Project Pain have delivered a thrash metal assault that is simply breath taking. 'Driven By Hate' is one of the fastest songs on offer, with fans all around the globe moshing hard and head banging so furiously their heads just may be head banged right off their shoulders. The title of "fastest song on the album" is reserved for the album closer, the brutally aggressive and superbly titled 'I Don't Give A Fuck'. Full of angst, anger and attitude, the chorus chant "i don't give a fuck" is gonna be screamed everywhere as fans go mad for this one. Should anyone annoy you or put you in a bad mood, blast 'I Don't Give A Fuck' at top volume and I guarantee you'll feel one hundred percent better, even before the song ends.

Overall, a punishing and brutal thrash metal foray, by a passionate band focused on delivering fast paced and aggressive thrash metal.
