Monument are a heavy metal band from the UK formed in 2011, releasing their debut E.P. 'Rock The Night' in 2012.
With the bands debut album 'Renegades' due for release in spring 2014, Monument release 'Runaway' as the albums first single.
When you think of the word "monument", what springs to mind? For me, it's something big, something built to last, and something with so much awe and interest that it takes your breath away.
And that is exactly how I would describe Monument! With the release of 'Runaway', a song that is quick out of the blocks and into its stride, galloping along at pace with all the trademarks of the NWOBHM evolution, the band are cementing their place in heavy metal history. Monument are standing tall at the forefront of the resurgence in traditional British heavy metal.
Overall, a spectacular release from Monument that will excite heavy metal fans around the world leaving them hungry for the new album.
