Control The Storm are a female fronted melodic heavy metal band from the UK formed in 2010 by Raedon Mac and Rich Shillitoe, releasing their self titled debut E.P. the same year. In 2012, the band appeared at that years Bloodstock Open Air festival in the UK after winning the Metal To The Masses competition. A number of line up changes has strengthened the band, with the single 'Stronger' released in 2014, followed by the bands debut album 'Beast Inside'. Control The Storm regularly play live, and have supported bands such as Kobra And The Lotus, Sarah Jezebel Diva and Leaves' Eyes.    
             
In 2017 the band announced Firouzeh as their new singer, with Quest Fest in Birmingham their first live performance of the year. The band went on to appear at the Seven Sins Festival in Swansea, and a co-headlining appearance at The Northern Symphony Festival in Selby, regarded as the UK's premier symphonic metal event. The band have recorded and released a new single, 'Chaotic Mind', and are currently writing material for their second album, which will hopefully see the light of day at some stage in 2018.    
             
So what does the new single have to offer? 'Chaotic Mind' is six minutes of the best heavy metal that Control The Storm have ever produced. The band have progressed in a much heavier direction from 'Beast Inside', with a thundering rhythm that gallops along at a pace more akin to the power metal genre. Exquisite keyboards accompany the superb guitar work, with Firouzeh delivering a power house of a vocal performance.    
             
The band will be playing the Dames Of Darkness Festival in Bilston in August, supporting the Austrian symphonic metal band Edenbridge. Control The Storm have a passion and dedication that has seen them grow, going from strength to strength, becoming a major force in the melodic/symphonic heavy metal genre and are most definitely a band to keep your eye on...    
             
Overall, an energetic and exhilarating romp, 'Chaotic Mind' is a bombastic and furious charge of heavy power metal.
