Adrenaline E.P.

POWERHOUSE are a power metal band from the USA formed in 2016, releasing the 'Adrenaline' E.P. in 2017.

POWERHOUSE by name, powerhouse by nature, American power metallers POWERHOUSE punch hard and kick harder with their debut release, a hard and heavy slab of pulsating heavy metal. 'Heavier Than Thunder' opens the E.P. with savagery and force, a head bangingly addictive power metal anthem that is immediate and in your face. Picking up the pace and racing on at full tilt, 'Trigger Warning' is a superb slice of galloping speed metal. Infectious and catchy, 'Trigger Warning' has a cracking sing a long style chorus.

With five songs across twenty three minutes, POWERHOUSE make a massive statement of intent, with their brand of metal full of energy and excitement. 'Project X' keeps the speed metal feel alive and simply scorches the earth as it races on. Delivered at a devastatingly fast pace, 'Project X' hints a little at the thrash metal genre too. Originally playing covers by bands such as Judas Priest and Metallica, 'Through The Ringer' was the first song penned by the band. Bringing a more melodic, yet also a much heavier feel to the E.P. 'Through The Ringer' is a mid tempo brutal stomp.

Getting caught up in the blistering pace and heavy hitting nature of the E.P. you fail to realise that there is only five songs on offer and the final song is heading straight at you. Ferocious and fierce, 'Crush 'Em' is a bombastic and thrash metal infused savage barrage. Steaming ahead mercilessly, 'Crush 'Em' is energetic, intense and a head bangingly addictive song that is a definite favourite of mine. The chorus is of the sing a long chant style variety that a live audience will be shouting at the tops of their voices...even after the song has long finished.

Overall, a powerful and hard hitting slice of power metal blended with thrash metal that will please and excite the senses, invoking frenetic head banging everywhere.
