I Am The Void E.P.

Judicator are a power metal band from the USA formed in 2012, to date releasing six albums - 'Kings Of Rome' (2012), 'Sleepy Plessow' (2013), 'At The Expense Of Humanity' (2015), 'The Last Emperor' (2018), 'Let There Be Nothing' (2020), 'The Majesty Of Decay' (2022), and two E.P.s - 'Coping Mechanism' (2014) and 'I Am The Void' released in 2023...

...featuring just two songs - one original, and one cover! The band are well known for their elegant and majestic approach to power metal, incorporating cinematic and progressive nuances within their root metal sound. Clocking in at nine minutes in length, the E.P.'s title song (and the one original on offer) 'I Am The Void', shows Judicator at their innovative best. The song has everything - from a mellow build up with serene vocals, to a barnstorming "foot on the monitor" traditional metal gallop, the band cruising through every style they have in their locker. 'I Am The Void' (the song) is well worth its nine minute run time, it's a song that you'll wanna play time and time again.

The second song is a cover of 'The Curse Of Feanor' by Blind Guardian (taken from the bands 1998 sixth album 'Nightfall In Middle-Earth') - and as the band comment "this is a song that our Patreon supporters voted on. The cover has been available to them for some time now, and we chose to release it to the public alongside 'I Am The Void'." And quite rightly too - for it's an absolute barnstormer of a cover! Judicator keep true to the original pace and feel, yet somehow manage to inject more energy and oomph - talk about cover songs being as good as, if not better than, the originals.

Overall, two songs showing two sides to Judicator - their innovative best and incredible prowess as a cover band.
