Eradikated are a thrash metal band from Sweden formed in 2021 - and I use the term "formed" fairly loosely - as Eradikated were formerly known as The Generations Army, releasing one album - 'Still Screaming' (2017) and one E.P. - 'Voices And Visions' (2018). The new incarnation Eradikated, released their self titled debut E.P. in 2021, containing all four songs from the 'Voices And Visions' E.P. along with two re-recorded songs from The Generations Army album 'Still Screaming', with 'Descendants' the debut full length album (from Eradikated) released in 2023...
...featuring eleven high velocity, immensely head bang-able thrashers across a ferocious forty two minutes! The change of name has done nothing to dampen the bands passion for delivering explosive thrash metal. If anything, the band are displaying more ferocity and aggression than ever before, the album sprinting into life with the blistering 'Unleash' - the band unleashing a brutal barrage of savagery, emitting so much force, towns and cities are gonna crumble into dust! The band are so fierce here - and the albums only just begun! With an unrelenting display of ferocity, Eradikated power on with 'Flood', the band keeping the pedal firmly pressed to the metal, roaring down the motorvag at high speed ignoring limits and the local polis!
And after such a breathless opening double, the band don't let up one little bit, 'Descendants' shifting gear once more courtesy of 'Drought', racing on with more purpose and intent than either of the two previous songs! Eradikated are an unforgiving thrash metal machine setting an incredible pace, violently banging the heads of every listener, fan and follower. There's just no escaping the bands freneticism! Oh for fuck's sake spell check - "freneticism" is a word! I just checked it out on the internet via a couple of dictionary websites! So it's staying put - the bands freneticism unrelenting as the album surges forth with the lightning quick title song 'Descendants'. The level of head bang ability so far has been off the fucking charts, the neck muscles of every head banger in the world stretched to infinity! And beyond! And with a distinct 'South Of Heaven' era Slayer feel of menace, 'Dead Heaven' opens in the most terrifying way possible, many listeners diving for the relative safety of behind the sofa! But there's no hiding from Eradikated - the band are gonna get ya, no matter how far ya cower! The menacing nature of 'Dead Heaven' is phenomenal, the band not relying on all out speed to deliver a crushing crescendo of thrash metal. Simply stunning!
And with no sign of a breather coming soon, 'Descendants' (the album) marches on with 'Hazardous', accelerating to top speed after a mid tempo first thirty seconds! The pace of the album has been nothing short of amazing, only three out of the eleven songs on offer exceeding the four minute mark! Relentless like lava pouring out of an erupting volcano, the album continues its barrage of savagery with 'Faced', an unforgiving level of brutality coming to the fore, leaving cuts and bruises all over listeners, fans, followers, concert goers and mosh pit maniacs! Local A&E departments along with pharmacies better stock up on bandages and band-aids - they're about to have a run on them! Not just yet though, the albums not over yet - 'Flames' picking up the baton and whacking you round the head with it! The level of ferocity is just so aggressive, 'Flames' and indeed every other song on offer liable to be arrested for GBH!
And there's just no stopping the breathless thrash metal rampage, Eradikated stomping on with the ground shuddering 'Reckoning', crumbling walls and razing buildings to the ground with immense force! No hiding place is safe - but why would you wanna hide when the thrash on offer is this fucking good! All you wimps and posers, go on get out, leave the hall - Eradikated are here and thrashing hard! Very hard - 'Blood-like Red' picking up the mantle of menace and marching on with an immense level of aggression! An aggression level that's not dipped one little bit all album long, the band delivering a terrifying tsunami of thrash. Now all good things come to an end, and so does 'Descendants' (the album) - the final hurrah 'Coffin', the fastest song on offer by the proverbial country mile! Eradikated are faster than the speed of light here, delivering a fiery flourish to end an album of exhilarating quality in tremendous style.
Overall, a blistering barrage of terrifying thrash metal, full of aggression, menace and immense head bang ability.
