The Final Element

Veonity are a power metal band from Sweden formed in 2013 releasing six albums to date - 'Gladiator's Tale' (2015), 'Into The Void' (2016), 'Legend Of The Starborn' (2018), 'Sorrows' (2020), 'Elements Of Power' (2022), and 'The Final Element' (2024)...

...featuring the bands new singer, former Lancer frontman Isak Stenvall, the band completed by the four ever present members, guitarists Anders Skold and Samuel Lundstrom, bass player Kristoffer Lidre, and drummer Joel Kollberg - the new album ten songs and forty five foot to the floor minutes of blistering power metal very much in the vein of the greats such as Helloween and Primal Fear - the one minute 'Premonition' a highly atmospheric and tension fuelled intro leading straight into album opener proper 'Chains Of Tyranny'.

And one helluva blistering turn of speed! The band are outta the gate like a whippet, racing on at full throttle with immense power and pace, the level of head bang ability off the fucking charts! A sensational opening salvo to turn heads and make every listener sit up and take notice, Veonity surge on at pace with 'Horsemen Of The Dark'. Heavying things up a little, the band ooze the classic European power metal sound - my grin widening further than the fucking horizon as a phenomenal feel good factor pours out of 'Horsemen Of The Dark'. The albums first two songs have been nothing short of stunning, the pace, power and purpose at extremely high levels as 'The Final Element' roars on at an even faster speed courtesy of 'Carry On' - the sound barrier splintering into a billion fucking pieces as Veonity smash straight through it!

And with a dramatic slow down in speed, 'Riders Of The Revolution' enters the anthemic foot stomping realm of heavy metal, Veonity shuddering the ground they majestically march on - the band striding tall and very pound with shoulders back and head held high! The rabble rousing call to arms nature of 'Riders Of The Revolution' is immense, every listener, fan and follower all over the world standing to attention and raising clenched fists high to punch the air. Can the album get any better? You bet your bottom dollar it can - or should that be Krona! Either way, the band return electrifying pace to the fore, 'Warriors Code' hurtling off at high velocity, Veonity scorching the earth as the band storm across metal territory at jaw dropping speed! The dazzling array of power metal heard so far has been top class, the Swedish outfit delivering an out of this world performance, the album moving quickly on with 'Powerstone'. And when I say quickly, I mean quicker than everything that's gone before - 'Powerstone' flying faster than the speed of fucking light! And at over 186,000 miles per second, that's fast - very fast! Good luck trying to keep pace with the band in terms of head banging - are the human neck muscles even designed for this speed of movement? Methinks not, but it's gonna be one helluva rush to find out!

The energy and oomph pouring outta 'The Final Element' has been sky fucking high since it began, the band not taking a single breather, storming on with more majesty and elegance than ever, 'Heart Of A Warrior' entering melodic metal territory, the band taking their power metal roots with 'em - the melodic power metal mix sounding supremely regal! Veonity have been on my radar for a while now, and with each new album released, the band have consistently got better and better, the bar raised to new heights with 'The Final Element' - an album that's surely forced its way into contention for the Album Of The Year title! 'Kings Of Dreamland' marches on with just as much thrust and impetus as everything heard so far, the band not slowing down one little bit as the pace of the album remains at maximum level, Veonity full of energy, vigour and vitality as the album reaches its finale - 'The Fifth Element' chiming in as the longest song on offer! Clocking in at six and a half minutes in length, 'The Fifth Element' is an album ender of the tallest order, Veonity throwing everything they have in their vast arsenal at a worldwide audience! From regal majesty to all out pace, elegance to classic European power metal, the band are (literally) in their element here, powering onto a finish with total aplomb.

Overall, a superb display of all out power and pace, 'The Final Element' is high speed, foot to the floor metal straight off the top shelf.
