Endless Scorn

Injector are a thrash metal band from Spain formed in 2012, releasing four albums to date - 'Black Genesis' (2015), 'Stone Prevails' (2018), 'Hunt Of The Rawhead' (2020), and 'Endless Scorn' (2024).

Founded by vocalist/guitarist Dani MVN and bassist Jose Angel "Mafi", the bands current line-up is completed by guitarist Danny B and drummer Juanjo Beast - the new album a blistering forty five ferocious minutes and ten songs! Melding aggressive thrash with the classic gallop of traditional heavy metal, Injector are aiming for every metaller and thrasher on the planet - so beware readers, the Spanish four-piece are coming for ya! And I reckon they're gonna get you, no matter how far you are - 'Endless Scorn' striding into sight with the one and a half minute eerie yet menacing, tension fuelled instrumental 'Engelante', paving the way for (album opener proper) 'Path Of The Wrathgod' to storm in at the speed of fucking light!

And with a sky high level of brutality to confirm the Spaniards as a ferocious thrash metal band, 'Path Of The Wrathgod' a fast paced head banger guaranteed to rudely waken every mosher around the world! The howling, scowling vocals of singer Dani MVN are terrifying, Injector's new album off to an absolute flyer, the band firing on all cylinders as 'Warning Blast' increases the speed of the album three-fold! The level of head bang ability too, the albums opening one-two a devastating tsunami of high velocity thrash to get the adrenaline pumping through the veins of every listener, fan, follower and thrasher on the planet! And savagery remains front and centre as 'Resetting Time' rumbles in and storms on with a more (dare I say it) melodic thrash metal mentality than either of the two previous songs! Yes the harshness is still there along with a lot of ferocity, it's just the overall tone and feel is less Kreator and more Testament. 'Cause we all know German thrash has tended to lean more in the direction of brutality than American!

And entering the fray with groove metal style riffing, 'The Executioner's Song' is a mid tempo march of thunder, fire and brimstone - with added anger and aggression! The band have dropped a few gears here from the all out, all conquering speedy thrash metal onslaught of the albums first third, Injector injecting a little variation into their sonic array - 'Never Enter The Core' returning blistering speed to the fore! The fierce, fast paced nature of 'Never Enter The Core' is reminiscent of Overkill minus the piercing vocal delivery of Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth - replaced by the harsher, rougher, tougher and gruffer vocals of Dani MVN. The sky high level of head bang ability since 'Endless Scorn' began, remains extremely high with 'Crawling One', the immense power pouring outta the album all consuming and unrelenting! The speed the Spaniards have raced through the albums first two thirds has been red hot, Injector scorching the earth to leave only a desolate wasteland behind them!

The albums final third begins in menacing style, a little doom and gloom featuring highly as 'Drag Me To The Void' cuts an eerie path across thrash metal land, the band shuddering the ground with incredible force along with searing vocals guaranteed to lacerate the sky! The mid tempo march is heavier than Megadeth, Injector continuing their genre wide rampage to deliver a multitude of thrash metal styles to a worldwide audience - an audience that's been hooked on 'Endless Scorn' since minute one! And are unlikely to be un-hooked anytime soon, the album moving stealthily on with 'The End Of Eternity' - which sees, or rather hears the band return blistering speed to the fore after a one minute steady build-up! And 'The End Of Eternity' is an instrumental too, keeping the attentions of every listener focused for every second of its two hundred and twenty nine second run time (or three minutes forty nine seconds if you prefer). And to end the album, Injector deliver the fastest song on offer, 'Mindcrusher' melding the glorious sound of traditional heavy metal with the bands melodic thrash metal roots - 'Mindcrusher' one of those genre spanning, boundary breaking songs that defies pigeon-holing!

Overall, a fast paced and fairly brutal thrash metal onslaught with a shit tonne of head bang ability!
