God Of Pain E.P.

Deimos' Dawn are a thrash metal band from Germany founded in 2017 by Andy Doe (guitar), Matze Lange (bass), and Mathias Schmidt (drums) - the band line-up completed by former Morgoth singer Marc Grewe. To date the band have released one album, 'Anthem Of The Lost' (2023), and one E.P. 'God Of Pain' (2024).

Blending the brutally aggressive nature of legendary thrash metal bands Kreator, Sepultura, Slayer and Sodom into their own savage soundscape, Deimos' Dawn return with the ferocious five song E.P. 'God Of Pain' - emerging eighteen months after the bands debut release and just three months after the bands blistering performance at this years Wacken Open Air festival in Germany! The band are on a red hot upward curve at the moment, 'God Of Pain' E.P. storming into life with the ferocious title song 'God Of Pain' - the level of thunder, fire and brimstone fuelling this one off the fucking charts! Hurtling across thrash metal territory at phenomenal speeds, 'God Of Pain' (the song) is crushing everything in sight, leaving nothing and no-one standing!

A simply devastating start to the E.P. the band keep the hammer firmly down with the faster paced 'Lambs To The Slaughter', the ferocity greater than 'God Of Pain' (the song), Deimos' Dawn matching the mighty Slayer in terms of menace and brutality - just think back to 'South Of Heaven' era Slayer and you'll see, or rather hear what I mean! Two songs down and three to go and the aggressive nature of the band hits new heights as 'Rise Of The Mutilated' lurches forth to wreak fucking havoc on every thrasher's neck muscles - the style of head banging here so violent heads could get head banged right off their shoulders!

The level of ferocity across the E.P. since it began has been outstanding, Deimos' Dawn turning it up a notch or two for 'One Million Bullets' - a song as devastating as the song's lyrical theme! The band mix ground shuddering foot stomping with passages of blistering speed to deliver a gear changing thunderous roar! The E.P. is brought to a close with a cover of 'Resistance' by singer Grewe's former band Morgoth (taken from the bands second album 'Odium' released in 1993) - Deimos' Dawn's version just as furious and fierce, yet featuring more ferocity than the original! And even though it was originally written and performed by a death metal band, Deimos' Dawn tweak it just enough to seamlessly fit into their thrash metal remit.

Overall, a ferociously savage barrage of brutal thrash metal, 'God Of Pain' E.P. is proof of a new emerging forge in thrash - Deimos' Dawn.
