Kill The Night E.P. |
||||||
Unchosen Ones are a heavy metal band from Spain formed in 2018, releasing their debut E.P. 'Kill The Night' in 2021.
Unchosen Ones were formed three years ago by Christian Marco, Jose Fernandez, and Robert Martinez after their old band Astral Sidhe dissolved, with Fran Romero and Javier Calderon completing the bands line-up. The debut E.P. is three songs long, each one a hard hitting slice of metal come rock, such is the diversity of influences across the five band members.
The title song 'Kill The Night' opens the E.P. in a scary, sort of creepy horror film intro kinda way, becoming a thumping mid tempo melodic metal march. The infectious foot tapping rhythm is gonna get you hooked, nodding your head in total appreciation. And that chorus, catchy or what!
Inspired by the action role-playing video game Dark Souls, 'Ashen Wasteland' is a fast paced head banger, echoing the galloping rhythm of traditional heavy metal. Unchosen Ones turn up the heat with 'Ashen Wasteland' and its crusading call to mosh pits everywhere. Third and final song 'Shadow Dancer' switches gears to become a mid paced hard rock song. Big riffing, bombastic, and overly infectious, 'Shadow Dancer' is the kinda rock that came out of Sweden during the eighties courtesy of iconic band Europe.
Overall, a diverse three song romp, Unchosen Ones offer the listener heavy hitting hard rock, galloping heavy metal, and something in-between.
