Toledo Steel E.P. |
||||||
Toledo Steel are a heavy metal band from the UK formed in 2011 releasing their self titled debut E.P. in 2013. Influenced by legendary NWOBHM icons Judas Priest, Iron Maiden and Saxon, Toledo Steel are a powerhouse of rollicking rhythms and foot on the monitor twin guitar attack.
'Alcatraz' is a bombastic blast of traditional British heavy metal, nodding its head towards the classic sound of mid eighties Judas Priest. Superb guitar riffs, galloping bass, thunderous drums and excellent guitar solos. Infectious and catchy, this is a storming opening song.
The foot on the monitor, hands in the air, chugging riffs continue with 'Black Widow'. A catchy sing a long chorus will make this a crowd favourite in the live arena and it is so infectious that you will be foot tapping and nodding your head without realising it. 'Flames Arise' ends the E.P. in a blaze of guitars and galloping rhythms as the song relentlessly races on like a runaway freight train.
Overall, a blistering, relentless, barnstorming slab of infectious and catchy traditional British heavy metal.
