The Art Of Escaping are a heavy groove based melodic metal & rock band from the UK formed in 2014 who released their debut E.P. 'Three Ways' later the same year.    
             
Energetic and bombastic is the opening to this three song E.P. as 'Catch Me If You Can' storms out of the blocks and is a foot stomping, catchy and infectious, heavy melodic rock song. With heavy guitars and bold vocals the song has to be an instant winner, especially when played live. 'Ignite The Fire' is more in your face than the opening song, and has some brutal riffs spliced into a raw, heavy rhythm that oozes power and passion. The vibe and feel of 'Ignite The Fire' reminds me of the sound that The Almighty created with Powertrippin' (1993 album). An awesome opening chugging riff brings 'Help My Lungs To Breathe' to the airways with a lighter, more rocky sound, a catchy chorus and the best vocal performance out of the three songs on offer here.    
             
Overall, a refreshing burst of energy and passion, the Art Of Escaping have created a heavy, yet melodic, bold rock/metal sound.
