Terratomorf are a power metal band from Russia formed in 2013 releasing their debut E.P. 'Я - легенда' in 2014.    
             
Featuring five songs across twenty one minutes, Terratomorf meld their power metal roots with traditional heavy metal - the bands first release getting underway with the title song 'Я - легенда'. Opening with an almighty chunky power metal riff, 'Я - легенда' (the song) progresses into a foot stomping mid tempo chug with clean and clear vocals. I say clean and clear, for the band sing in their native tongue, and unless you know the Russian language you haven't got a chance in hell of singing along!    
             
A lighter, rockier sound rumbles into sight courtesy of 'Судьба' ('Fate'), Terratomorf maintaining the previous songs foot stomping attitude albeit at the weightier end of the metal genre. The opening double has been very much mid tempo, mid paced fare, the Moscow based metallers dipping a toe into the doom metal genre too - 'Призрачный мир' ('Illusory World') lifting the atmosphere to a more traditional metal pace and feel. 'Призрачный мир' changes gear, tempo and pace many times during its four and a bit minute run time, making it the most varied song heard so far.    
             
And hitting harder than any other song on the E.P. 'В небеса' ('To The Heaven') thunders in with a sparkling NWOBHM sounding guitar riff, Terratomorf showing a more brutal side to their metal music - not thrash metal brutal, just the aggressive corner of the heavy metal genre! The band provide the worldwide mosh pits with an excellent opportunity to head bang too, much more than all the three previous songs put together - the fifth and final song on offer 'Город души' ('City Of The Soul') is also the longest on the E.P. stretching to almost five minutes in length! The band are at their most energetic here, driving forth with power and pace, reinforcing their power metal tag - 'Город души' surely a crowd pleaser with a cracking sing a long style chorus. A glorious end to a varied five song romp.    
             
Overall, a superb slab of power metal mixed with elements of hard rock to produce some very catchy songs.
