End Of Days |
||||||
SystemHouse33 are a thrash/groove metal band from India formed in 2003 releasing an E.P. 'Discernment' in 2006. The bands full length debut album 'Depths Of Despair' was released in 2013, with the follow up 'Regression' three years later in 2016. And now, planned or by coincidence I'm not sure, but another three years have passed and SystemHouse33 release another album, their third, 'End Of Days'.
Delivering one of the heaviest listens of the year so far, SystemHouse33 pummell, pound and flatten anything and everything that gets in their way. The band are a relentless juggernaut of pulsation, they are fire and brimstone, they are an end of the world cataclysmic event, and they will destroy your senses with a most savage barrage of brutality. You have been warned... Eight songs across thirty magnificent minutes, gets underway in the most mellowest of fashions, with the intro 'Day Of Reckoning' an atmospheric and chilling crescendo, that leads into the ferocious 'Rapture'. Now, by definition, the word rapture is "a feeling of intense pleasure and joy" and that is exactly what this song, and let's be honest, this album, will give you. 'Rapture' is intense, forceful and delivers a savage barrage of brutality that will leave you with a severe case of bruising. The pummelling that 'Rapture' is dishing out is more savage than being hit with a wrecking ball. And the savagery doesn't end when the song ends, hell no...
...'End Of Days' is like using a chainsaw to slice a loaf of bread! It's extreme, it's savage and it's a devastating over use of force. The throaty and aggressive vocal style is perfectly suited to this type of brash and blunt thrash. The louder the volume the harder the pummelling, so turn it up sports fans. Cruising into sight at full throttle, 'Lake Of Sorrow' is a torrent of turbulence, a thundering twister that will destroy villages, leaving only desolation in its wake. Aggression, attitude and angst is rife throughout this entire album, with the pace quickening to a lightning speed with 'Stand Up', delivering the ferocity of a nuclear strike, The tremendous amount of savagery SystemHouse33 are serving up is gonna keep the A&E departments of every hospital around the world busy for a long time to come - let's hope they have enough bandages to cope... Hitting harder than a tornado, 'Apocalypse' is fierce and fiery, flying at high speed, wreaking havoc and leaving only destruction in its wake. To stand up to this kind of brutal intensity takes courage...
...courage only real metal heads have. I know I have the courage, that's why am still here, enjoying the brutal onslaught and writing about it at the same time, although my glasses do keep falling off my head as I head bang vigorously. A small price to pay for listening to an album this special. So, for the umpteenth time I push my glasses back into place just in time to be slapped roughly around the head by the astronomical avalanche of the most savage nature. 'Prophesied' is high velocity, high energy thrash metal at its most glorious. Am almost breathless right now...but with two songs remaining no need to worry, I can get through this. Even the increased ferocity and intensity that 'Great tribulation' brings to the fore isn't gonna stop me. With its pace and power, 'Great Tribulation' is a colossal rampage. The album is brought to an emphatic end with an avalanche of aggression, a barrage of brutality, a ferocious foray of force...'Cry Of Anguish' is a magnificent end to a magnificent album. Time to breathe, relax and recover, Fuck that, am gonna press the replay button and go listen again . . .
Overall, 'End Of Days' is a bone breaking, skull crushing roller coaster ride of brutal savage destruction.
