Spiritz are an alternative metal & rock band from Ukraine formed in 2013. Their debut album, self-released in 2014, has been re-mixed and re-mastered by legendary producer Roy Z, and re-released in 2015.

The album opens with the energetic and hard rocking power metal song 'Last Exam' with a heavy Judas Priest influence. Pounding rhythms, clean and clear guitars and very powerful vocals 'Last Exam' sits neatly in the European power metal genre. 'Freedom Zone' picks up the pace and is a guitar driven speed metal song, 'You In Me' slows the pace, yet strides majestically as a powerful power ballad while 'Insane' has a much lighter, radio friendly rock vibe. With legendary producer Roy Z (known for his work with the likes of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest and Yngwie Malmsteen) at the helm, the production is professional with the mix very clear.

Pioneers of German power metal Accept, had bands such as Helloween and Running Wild follow in their footsteps, now have Spiritz honouring their legacy with some sparkling power metal. 'Life 9' is an your face, almost aggressive, nearly brutal power metal song with a high energy level. 'Not For You' is raucous and rampant with a very heavy, bold and brash rhythm, with 'Little Dead People' another of those mid tempo stomps with more than just a hint of aggression and attitude. Nirvana are a great example of an atmospheric, dark and moody style of music that is both infectious and catchy. Spiritz have embodied some of that style, especially with their guitar sound, but also mix it up with the traditional British twin guitar attack and the European power metal scene.

Taking a departure from their all out power metal delivery is 'The Crow', all acoustic and keys reminiscent of ballads by great bands such as Bon Jovi and Motley Crue. Soulful vocals over a lighters in the air, arms waving stroll 'The Crow' allows the listener a breather. 'Stop The Rain' is a hard edged soft rock song with 'Bad Mood' viciously cutting a path through the airways with chopping guitars and aggressive vocals. Bringing the album to a close are 'Desire' and 'Here We Go' which, while still very good songs, appear to lack the adrenaline pumping energy and bombastic blast that was so prevalent during the early part of the album.

Overall, British and European influenced power metal that is infectious, catchy and foot stompingly addictive.
