Thrashmageddon

Soul Collector are a thrash metal band from Poland who released their self titled E.P. in 2010 and their first full length album, 'Thrashmageddon' in 2014.

The album opens with the brutally heavy 'Army Of The Dead'. In your face guitars and thunderous drums, this is a full tilt thrash metal song with a vocal performance that sounds like a cross between Udo Dirkscheider (Accept, UDO) and Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (Overkill). A screaming guitar solo and a relentless pace will have you head banging furiously. Inspired by legendary thrash metal bands such as Testament, Exodus and Megadeth, the thrash metal assault continues with the chugging romp 'The Cursed Land' and the title song 'Thrashmageddon'. Superb chunky guitar riffs and pounding rhythms, the song races on at pace with a distinct Anthrax feel to it.

'Bless My Gun' is an excellent thrash metal stomp of chugging rhythms and will have you stamping your feet, banging your head and moshing like a mother fucker! 'Lord Of Fire' is an Overkill influenced romp of fast paced, face melting, thrash metal with some brutal riffing. '2000 Years In Lies' is a short blast of thumping thrash while 'Horrorhouse' mixes shock rock with thrash metal to produce a chilling, chugging, stomp of dark and atmospheric metal. At over eight minutes in length, it is the longest song on the album and has some dynamic time changes and superb guitar work.

'I Saw...' is a chunky Megadeth style song full of attitude and raw energy, with a blisteringly awesome guitar solo. 'The Stoneface' is foot stomping mid tempo thrash metal at its best with thunderous drums, a heavy brutal guitar riff, a superb vocal performance and a hint of AC/DC. 'One Day In The Front' rattles along at a brutal pace with more than a hint at Megadeth and their attitude laden epics. It is such a shame the album has to end, but end it does with the Testament influenced 'Pure Fucking Evil', rattling at top speed through superb rhythms, thumping drums and blistering guitar solos.

Overall, a superb thrash metal album full of brutal riffs, thunderous drums which will delight fans of Overkill, Testament and Megadeth.
