Venomous Vengeance |

Revenge are a heavy metal band from Colombia formed in 2002 forging a reputation for blistering speed metal virtuosity. The band have released nine albums to date - 'Metal Warriors' (2005), 'Rage And Revenge' (2007), 'Death Sentence' (2009), 'Metal Is: Addiction And Obsession' (2011), 'Vendetta' (2012), 'Harder Than Steel' (2014), 'Spitting Fire' (2017), 'Trust In Metal' (2020), and 2022's 'Venomous Vengeance'...
...featuring nine songs of all out heavy metal thunder - so strap yourselves in sports fans, this is gonna be one helluva rush! The album is brought to life with a minute and a half of atmospheric tension and anticipation, courtesy of 'Intro' - diving straight into the blistering 'Speed Rock & Roll'. Moving forward at high velocity 'Speed Rock & Roll' is a head bang-able fury of fast paced metal, and a terrific start to the bands new album. Following that explosive start, come the fireworks - 'Metal For Freedom' picking up the pace and scorching on. The speed is electrifying, sending out piercing tingling shocks to anyone and everyone who's listening. The impact Revenge have made after just two songs is phenomenal, making fans drool in anticipation of what's yet to come.
And what's yet to come, is more high speed metal - the band not slowing down for anyone, everyone, and everything! 'Hit The Road' is heavier than the opening double salvo, with the pace as devastating as ever. Imagine the Thrust SSC - the twin turbofan jet powered car that currently holds the world land speed record - driving by at its maximum speed of 763mph (1227kmh), shaking your house to its foundations, and basically destroying everything you own! That's the effect of Revenge's new album - and it's freaking awesome! The unrelenting pace does not dip for a second, as the title song 'Venomous Vengeance' takes over the baton and storms on breathing fire and brimstone. The energy level is incredible, where do these Colombians get it from? Fucked if I know, but it's a seemingly endless supply. The band spread their wings even further with the devastatingly quick 'Wings Of Fire'. And just like standing in front of an angry fire breathing dragon is one of the most foolish things you can do - to stand in front of 'Wings Of Fire' would be just as foolish. For you'd be swept aside by the songs fast paced ferocity and unrelenting bloodthirstiness! And I'm a fool, forever doing foolish things - see ya later!
And as the album enters its final third, the pace, energy, and oomph remain extremely high - 'Evil Crows' maybe taking them even higher! The heavy/speed metal attack of 'Evil Crows' is gonna annihilate everything in its path, whether it's houses, office buildings, tower blocks or entire towns and cities. As a rule of thumb, such devastation is usually found after a thrash metal album has been played - but there are exceptions to every rule. Revenge is one of 'em! And still not taking a break from the albums breathless pace, the band storm on with 'Wild & Obscene', displaying a little thrash metal aggression as it rampages on with a deafening roar. Definitely one of the more heavier and abrasive songs on offer, 'Wild & Obscene' also features some classic NWOBHM sounding guitars. 'Venomous Vengeance' (the album) is brought to a close with 'Metal Thunder' - maintaining the albums blistering barrage of breath taking heavy metal. From minute one to minute thirty nine, Revenge have excited and delighted with a plethora of incredible metal tunes to foot stamp, head bang, and raise your fists high in the air to.
Overall, a high velocity gallop of breathless heavy metal, Revenge deliver an incredible album of head bang-able heaven.
