Nightmares And Fairytales E.P. |
||||||
Requiem's Embrace are a symphonic power metal band from Italy, releasing the bands debut E.P. 'Nightmares And Fairytales' in 2024...
...featuring three songs across thirteen minutes of immensely melodic symphonic power metal. Formed by guitarist Alex Mele (Kaledon, ex ScreaMachine) and singer Eleonora Damiano (ex Epinikion), the bands line-up is completed by bass player Silvia Pistolesi (Hellucination), guitarist Francesco Ciancio (Kaledon), keyboard player Fabio Bernardi (ex River Of Change), and drummer Manuele Di Ascenzo (Imperial Age, ex Kaledon) - the E.P. oozing a majestic and heavenly elegant sound.
'Lady Foxglove' strolls into sight on the crest of crescendo building and highly anticipative first thirty seconds or so, progressing on to become a melodic metal march - the soaring vocals of singer Damiano commanding the airways. And when the band step on the accelerator across the chorus break, 'Lady Foxglove' thunders forth will all the pace and purpose of classic European power metal.
A barnstorming and immensely attractive opening to 'Nightmares And Fairytales' E.P. Requiem's Embrace have grabbed the attentions of a worldwide audience, and are not prepared to let it go just yet either - storming on with the fast paced 'Scarlet Meadows'. And with even more power and purpose than 'Lady Foxglove' too! The band are at full tilt here, rocking the heads back and forth of every listener, fan and follower around the world - from power metallers to symphonic metallers to traditional metallers, 'Scarlet Meadows' is gonna appeal to 'em all!
An outstanding first two thirds to 'Nightmares And Fairytales' E.P. the final third is just as good if not better - 'Nightmares' striding forward with all the oomph and bombast of old school metal but with the added elements of modern day symphonic and power metal raising the bar to new heights! 'Nightmares' is a mid tempo, mid paced swagger to maintain the E.P.'s incredibly high infectious level, and whet the appetites of listeners everywhere for more! Much more!
Overall, a three song symphonic metal swagger, melding power and traditional metal, resulting in a stunning debut release.
