Horns Up |

Reanimator are a thrash metal band from Canada, formed in 2004 who released their debut album in 2009. Their second album 'Horns Up', was released in 2015.
Bold, brash, arrogant thrash is a line that pretty much sums up the sound of Reanimator. Opening the album is the thunderous 'Electric Circle Pit' with growling, throaty vocals and buzzsaw guitars. Sounding like a fusion of Megadeth and Testament, 'Electric Circle Pit' is one of those rare thrash songs that embodies all the traits associated with thrash metal yet has an infectious, melodic undertone that makes it appealing to other genres too. Picking up the pace is 'Rush For The Mosh' which exhibits a chaotic rhythm, a blistering guitar solo and will have the mosh pit stomping like mad. The foot stomping and head banging chug of 'Tempted By Deviance' will keep the thrashers happy with fists punching the air and the chant of "tempted by deviance" yelled at the top of their voices when the chorus rolls around.
'Thieves Of Society' is raucous and rampant, 'The Abominator' is like an out of control freight train, thundering along at speed, with an unstoppable, relentless rhythm while 'The Mosh Master' is a high speed romp. Brutal guitar riffing, aggressive vocals and a breath taking rhythm will have you head banging hard and fast. A superb guitar riff brings 'Still Sick' to life, with raw, in your face vocals and a sharp, razor edged guitar sound that cuts through the senses like a hot knife through butter! The aggressively titled 'Off With Their Heads' is super fast and super aggressive with attitude laden vocals. 'Off With Their Heads' is a superbly brilliant fast paced, brutal and aggressive thrash metal song to bring a close to a great album.
Overall, fast paced and aggressive, this is brutal thrash metal at its most rampant, with growled, throaty vocals and a buzzsaw guitar sound.
