Black Magic Night

Nigromante are a heavy metal band from Spain formed in 2003 heavily influenced by the likes of Black Sabbath, Venom and Motorhead.

With a sound that resembles the classic sound of the NWOBHM, the album opens with the bombastic 'Heavy Metal Age', rumbling along at pace with screaming guitars and a throaty rasping vocal performance not dissimilar to Chris Boltendahl (Grave Digger). Title song 'Black Magic Night' is a mid tempo chug with big riffs and a very catchy rhythm. 'In Nomine Pater' is a very catchy almost melodic foot tapping hard rock song with a sing a long chorus, that should make this a crowd favourite in a live arena.

'Saturnalia Of Blood' is a guitar driven chug of a heavy rock song, 'False Idol' opens with a slow near doom metal pace before changing gear as it storms of in a blaze of guitar and drums while 'Syndicate Of Crime' is another mid tempo stomp with some mighty huge riffing.

Upping the tempo is 'Soy Un Macarra', rumbling along at pace with a native tongue vocal performance. The anthemic 'Satan Death Squad' is destined to become another crowd favourite, mostly because of the lyrical theme, but it is also a cracking song with great riffs, great vocals and a big chunky head banging rhythm. The album ends with the atmospheric and moody instrumental 'Summoning Spell', showcasing the excellent talents of the bands guitarist.

Overall, traditional sounding heavy metal with some brilliant guitar work, this is an album to please fans of the NWOBHM-era metal.
