Night Light District

Neon Angel are a hard rock band from Finland, releasing their debut album 'Neon Light District' in 2020.

Storming out of Tampere, modern hard rockers Neon Angel, bring the sound of eighties stadium rock forward thirty years, adding a tad more energy, punch and pizzazz. Across the eight songs on offer, there are detectable influences of bands such as Vixen, Romeo's Daughter, Lita Ford and Lee Aaron... Neon Angel kick their debut into life with the bombastic foot stomper 'Another Kind Of Love' - an anthemic monster, hitting heavy and very hard. Mixing hard rock with the intensity of industrial and the swagger of progressive, 'Another Kind Of Love' is gonna appeal to a very far reaching and wide audience. A simply stunning opening is followed by the heavier hitting 'Neon Angel' - picking up the pace, tempo and urgency. A much more traditional hard rock romp, 'Neon Angel' (the song) is gonna get heads moving back and forth at a fairly high rate. Singer Johanna Etelakari really stretching her voice here, giving her all for a great performance.

So how do you follow such a thundering opening double shot? With even more thunder, that's what! 'Love Addiction' is a Lita Ford-esque stomp of high energy hard rock with an infectious sing a long style chorus. The impact Neon Angel are making with their debut release is shaking the ground - the band creating tremors all over the world. 'Are You There' slows the pace, increases the intensity, and packs an almighty punch, slamming listeners into walls with brute force - yet the sultry vocal display is in stark contrast to the bullish music. Stand up if you wish, but prepare for a battering as Neon Angel rampage forth with 'The City Is Sleeping' - and believe me the city won't be sleeping after Neon Angel come storming through. 'The City Is Sleeping' brings to the surface the classic buzz sounding guitar riffage associated with the iconic NWOBHM movement. One foot either side of the rock and metal border, 'The City Is Sleeping' will appeal to fans of both hard rock and heavy metal.

Neon Angel are setting the world on fire with their blend of hard hitting hard rock, pummelling senses all over the world, as the album stomps on with the high intensity, highly energetic, 'World On Fire'. Flowing like a cascading waterfall, Neon Angel are an awesome sight with immense natural power: 'World On Fire' a cracking party anthem that will go down a storm in a live arena. And what a song 'Night Tripper' is! Just wow... Displaying the most energy of any song on offer, 'Night Tripper' is reminiscent of British metallers Girlschool - sitting on the border between metal and rock, The chorus is such a catchy affair you'll be chanting "night tripper" without even realising it. And to the final song, the final hurrah - a ballad!?! Yes folks, Neon Angel end their first full length with the ballad 'Simon'. At nearly six minutes in length it is the longest song on offer, leading with keyboards and a sublime sultry vocal performance. Imagine the scene in a live arena - the house lights go down, a single spot light focused on singer Johanna, the crowd swaying and holding lighters aloft...what an atmosphere that's gonna be.

Overall, highly energetic heavy hitting hard rock, Neon Angel have made a huge impression with their debut album.
