Metal Requiem are a thrash/death metal band from Guatemala founded by drummer Alden de Leon (Skullcrusher) in 2001. The band have released four albums to date - 'Illusions Of Fire' (2004), 'Unorthodox' (2010), 'Ten' (2014), and 'Forgotten Society' (2018). With a fifth album in the works, the band have released two new singles during 2022 - 'Tyrant Oppressor' and 'Inquisition'...    
             
...both of which will appear on the bands new album 'Reborn' - release date yet to be confirmed.    
             
'Inquisition' is a refreshed and re-energised version of the song that first appeared on the bands 2002 debut E.P. 'Inquisition...' - re-recorded with the bands current line-up. This version is much more polished - I guess twenty years of instrument and recording innovation has something to do with it. But then so do the musicians - older, wiser, more experienced and definitely more seasoned.    
             
So keep your eyes and ears open for the bands new album - I have a feeling it's gonna be worth the wait.    
             
Overall, a groove laden thrash metal stomp, 'Inquisition' is a mouth watering appetiser for the bands new album.
