Metal Charity is a project featuring various metal and rock musicians that have joined together to make music to help raise money for charities. Formed in 2016, 'Home Sweet Home' is the first single to be released off the upcoming Metal Charity album.
The single and album will help raise money for the Rockinghorse Charity based in Brighton, UK. The Rockinghorse Charity is a charity that supports special needs children all over the UK, and have done for many years. To find out all the amazing things they have done as a charity, visit www.rockinghorse.org.uk
The assembled musicians for the debut single 'Home Sweet Home', are vocalist and guitarist Jeremy Ross Lawler (Winter's Edge/Fatal Dreams), bass player Dominic Upton (Winter's Edge/Everlust) and drummer Steve Barker (Fatal Dreams/Neverstar). Many more musicians will be featured on the upcoming album.
As far as the song is concerned, it is surprisingly different to the three musicians normal style of music. Instead of their epic, galloping and head bangingly addictive styles, 'Home Sweet Home' is a mellow meander through soft rock and AOR influences and is foot tappingly infectious.
Overall, Metal Charity is not about setting the world alight with their music, it is all about raising money for good causes
