Primevil Elements

Khaos Theory are a hard rock band from the UK formed in 2011, releasing the seven song mini album 'Primevil Elements' in 2012.

The British hard rockers are rocking extremely hard with their debut release - 'Fall Back Down' storming into life with a tonne of energy! Full of pace, power and strong vocals, 'Fall Back Down' is a raucous romp that will have you foot tapping right from the off - 'Take A Shot' maintaining the albums electrifying start, the band delivering a heavier song than the album opener, yet the all out pace remains in full force - that is until 'Burn Away' sharply hits the brakes, bringing a "lighters in the air" moment to the fore. Well written, well played and well sung, 'Burn Away' is a cracking power ballad. The roaring pace of earlier makes an emphatic return in the mighty shape of 'Dismay', sparkling with great guitar work and a superb vocal performance.

The final three songs on offer - 'Goodbye For Now', 'Find The Light' and 'Live A Lie' - are all acoustic ballad style songs, showing the band stripped back and bare! It's a brave move when a band includes an acoustic song on an album, but to include three could be seen as a little bit of overkill - so kudos to Khaos Theory for doing so and showing some balls! Each one is beautifully arranged and executed, so you better make sure your lighters are full of fuel as they're going to be burning for some time! 'Primevil Elements' is certainly an album of two halves - one half hard rocking, the other mellow and serene!

Overall, a cracking slab of hard rock full of power and pace, mingled with some very good "lighters in the air" songs.
