En Vivo!

Live In Argentina

John Prasec is a hard rock singer, composer and songwriter from Italy, releasing the five song E.P. 'John Prasec' in 2014, and his first full length album 'Unchained' in 2016. John formed the heavy metal band Voltstorm in 2019, releasing the bands self titled debut album in 2022. But it is with John's solo career we go with this live release...

...'En Vivo! Live In Argentina'. Released in 2023, recorded across Argentina on the Masters And Demons tour in February 2020, this live recording features John on vocals, Adam Milde and Enzo Nicola on guitars, Julian Veht on bass, and Matias "Machine Gun" Moretti on drums.

Containing nine songs - six from John's two solo releases, two covers, and one new song - 'En Vivo!' is a bombastic barrage of hard rock, loaded with energy and plenty of crowd interaction. Opening with the energetic rocker 'The One', the band get the crowd all fired up with frenetic riffs and rhythms - the pace incredibly up tempo and fast! And from there John and co. deliver a heavy hitting one-two - 'Iron Horse' landing with all the force of a bulldozer, followed by the classic sounding old school metaller 'Take A Look'! I say metaller, because the band are coming at ya from the border between rock and metal. And as we know that border is a damn fine line!

The new song 'Masters And Demons', is a bluesy doom rocker that foot stomps heavily with so much reined in power, that it actually bursts wide open and goes for a little gallop! Returning to the sedate pace of its opening, 'Masters And Demons' keeps changing gears 'til the very end. And if the party wasn't already in full swing, it soon would be with the party anthem 'Give Me Your Heart'. An uplifting and energy loaded romp, John invites the crowd to sing the chorus - and they do! With so much passion too, the mix of the album so good you can clearly hear them all!

And for a treat, the band deliver two covers - the first a classic Judas Priest song from their 1988 album 'Ram It Down' - 'Come And Get It' performed with the same power as the metal gods themselves! And for the second cover, John goes even further back in time - back to 1983 and Ozzy Osbourne's thrid solo album 'Bark At The Moon'. And it's the title song the band perform, 'Bark At The Moon' an ultimate classic that the band do a fucking excellent job of replicating! I said earlier it was a fine line between rock and metal - the two covers are metal songs covered by a hard rock band!

And it really sounds like the crowd enjoyed them too - the band maintaining a sky high energy level with the punchy crunch of Southern rocker 'Teaser'. And a bold head held high swagger as blues rock oozes out of the songs Southern rock roots. There's been so many styles of rock and metal here it's been an incredible performance, catering for both rock and metal fans - whether they be older, newer or younger! John ends with the title song from his debut album 'Unchained' - a slower tempo, hard hitting and punchy song, with a bluesy guitar feel.

Overall, an energetic performance of rock and metal, with great crowd interaction and participation.
