Spears Of The Empire E.P.

Glacier are a heavy/power metal band from the USA forming in the late seventies, releasing the five song E.P. 'Glacier' in 1985, before disbanding in 1990. Reforming twenty five years later, the band released three digital singles, performed at the 2017 Keep It True metal festival in Germany under the name Devil In Disguise, as a tribute to Glacier's founding member Sam Easley who sadly passed away the previous year. With the consent of the surviving members of the original Glacier, the band changed their name to Glacier, continued to perform over the next couple of years, and released their debut album 'The Passing Of Time' in 2020.

The band have remained active since their return to the metal scene, performing at various festivals in America and Europe. And now in 2022, Glacier are back with a new studio release - the two song E.P. 'Spears Of The Empire'...

...with the title song 'Spears Of The Empire' thundering into life with a menace not heard on the bands 2020 album! An almighty foot stomping brand of metal then ensues, as Glacier show their fans and followers a heaviness that resembles an in-flight wrecking ball heading your way - and we all know the menace and devastation wrecking balls can do!

And just when you thought you survived the wrecking ball heaviness of 'Spears Of The Empire', comes the second wave - 'The Word And The Will' a faster paced but nonetheless very heavy slab of all out heavy metal. Nearer the feel of traditional metal, 'The Word And The Will' will please the mosh pits and have every metal head raising their fists high in the air.

Overall, a two song slaughter of heaviness full of menace and an infectious level second to none.
