The Reaping Of Our Days E.P.

Furyborn are a melodic death metal band from the UK formed in 2010 who released their debut E.P. 'The Reaping Of Our Days' in 2012.

The orchestral, crescendo building opening 'The Reaping' may not be the exact image a death metal band would have, but it is just the chalk with the cheese, as very soon the melodic, industrial blast 'Blind Leading The Blind' kicks in. With a snarling, aggressive vocal delivery, bordering on deathcore, 'Blind Leading The Blind' has great guitar work and is kept at a relentless pace with its galloping rhythms. Picking up the brutality levels 'Through Degradation And Decay' is high intensity industrial fuelled deathcore. With a menacing vocal delivery, 'Through Degradation And Decay' also throws in some clean melodic vocals.

A superb guitar driven intro gets 'Medal Of Dishonour' underway and into a mid tempo pace of blistering guitars and relentless rhythms. Again, a mix of vocal styles keep the song interesting and varied. The only thing really "death" about Furyborn is the vocal style of lead singer Jut Tabor with a few similarities to the early style of Fear Factory. 'This Fury Reborn' ends the E.P. in a fiercely furious and in your face style. The gruff vocal style, the buzz of the guitars and the sheer intensity of the song is enough to smash windows and crack walls.

Overall, deathcore vocals, relentless and fierce paced songs, Furyborn display traits of Fear Factory in their industrial/death metal fused environment.
