| ФС Пrоjект (FS Projekt) are a power metal band from Russia formed in 2011, releasing their debut E.P. 'Рождение мага' in 2013. | ||||||
| Founded by composer, arranger, poet, producer, guitarist and bassist Efes, ФС Пrоjект is a fantasy metal project delivering a distinctly European style of melodic power metal - the bands debut release 'Рождение мага' E.P. a three song bombastic blast! Completing the bands line-up is Oleg Mishin (vocals) and Andrei Itschenko (drums) - the E.P. opening with the title song 'Рождение мага' ('Rozhdeniye Maga'). Quickly into its stride, 'Рождение мага' (the song) is an incredible foot tapper with big, chunky guitar riffs and a resounding "gallop" ala the iconic NWOBHM. | ||||||
| A highly infectious and head turning start, 'Рождение мага' E.P. moves on swiftly with an immense eerie feel courtesy of 'Лед' ('Loyd'). Picking up pace as it gets going, 'Лед' is typical power metal fare, catchy and head bang-able with a tonne of melody and plenty to sing a long to! Only if you understand, and speak Russian though, for the entire E.P. is sung in the bands native language - which to be honest doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the enjoyment on offer, it's the music that speaks every single language in the world. | ||||||
| Third and final song 'Финголфин' ('Fingolfin') opens with a slow swagger, steadily building the tension and anticipation for a minute and then hitting the accelerator hard to roar off at top speed! Storming through rampaging riff after rampaging riff, the band return the galloping nature of the E.P.'s first song. As briefly highlighted earlier, unless you know the Russian language, you will have terrible difficulty in singing along to any of the songs on offer here. But don't let that discourage you from giving 'Рождение мага' E.P. a listen - you just may be surprised! | ||||||
| Overall, three songs of highly melodic power metal combining great riffs and clean vocals. | ||||||
