Modern Disdain

From Eden To Exile are a death/thrash metal band from the UK formed in 2012, releasing an E.P. in 2015 and their debut album in 2017.

Aggression, force and in your face...straight from the off, this debut album from British metallers From Eden To Exile is a savage barrage of brutality. 'Gospel Untold' rips into the airways and tears a hole in the atmosphere with a brutal torrent of riffs and rhythms. Not for the faint of heart, 'Gospel Untold' is a rampaging romp, setting the standard for what is to come. The title song 'Modern Disdain' increases the heaviness with the growly and throaty vocal performance perfectly suited to this type of rough and tough aural assault. 'Modern Disdain' changes pace frequently throughout, blazing a trail of devastation as it races on. Guitar solos screech and scream and are an absolute pleasure to listen to. The savagery continues in blistering style with 'Volatile' racing by at break neck speed. For the die hard head bangers out there...just you try and keep up with the pace! With only eight songs on offer delivered in under forty minutes, From Eden To Exile make a massive impact here, with every song hard hitting and brutal.

Decimating small towns and villages in its wake, the metal machine that is From Eden To Exile rolls mercilessly on. 'Victim' is heavy on the attitude and even heavier on the aggression. The vocal delivery is menacing, the guitars are heavy and the thunderous rhythm is as explosive as an erupting volcano. Senses are pummelled hard as 'Victim' strides majestically on to its conclusion. Pace increases and the savagery gets even more savage as 'The Dreamer' explodes into life and motors along at breath taking speed. Aggressive vocals, chainsaw style guitars and a jack hammer style rhythm push 'The Dreamer' on at an unrelentingly brutal speed.

Self titled song 'From Eden To Exile' is more mid tempo paced, yet retains the brutal aggression that is oozing from everywhere on this album. Every song is worthy of its place on the album, and in terms of aggression and brutality, From Eden To Exile are up there with German legends Kreator. 'What You've Done' has some of the best guitar work on the album and is a blistering rampage of savagery, with the pace of the song simply outstanding. All too soon though, the album comes to its end, with 'Sentiment' closing the album in the same style it opened nearly forty minutes ago...aggressive, brutal and with immense force. With such an impressive debut album and exhilarating live performances, From Eden To Exile are making a huge impact on the metal scene and I for one am looking forward to what is coming next...

Overall, a savage barrage of brutality that is simply breath taking, with tonnes of attitude and aggression smacking you around the head.
