| Flotsam And Jetsam are a thrash metal band from the USA formed in 1984 who released their debut album in 1986. The band have always been a major force in the thrash metal arena, releasing twelve more albums in their lengthy career. 'Demolition Man' is the new single from the bands forthcoming album, 'The End Of Chaos', due for release early in 2019. | ||||||
| Flotsam And Jetsam are a band that fall into the "never let you down" category when it comes to delivering hard hitting, fast paced, yet catchy, thrash metal. For over thirty years the band have been at the forefront of the thrash metal genre, one of the old guard if you like, along with Testament, Overkill, Kreator, Sodom, Exodus, Destruction, Annihilator and, for fucks sake, I could on and on... | ||||||
| ...but I won't as there is a song here to be reviewed. 'Demolition Man' is mid to high paced, with the brash nature of thrash fused with the classic and melodic heavy metal sound of the NWOBHM. Flotsam And Jetsam are a band that have always had their feet planted firmly and squarely in the thrash metal genre, but have never been afraid to step over the boundaries from time to time. | ||||||
| The new year will bring a new album, 'The End Of Chaos'. An early contender for Album Of The Year? Most likely yes, but we'll have to wait and see. With the likes of Overkill and Megadeth releasing albums next year too, Flotsam And Jetsam are getting in there early with a January release date. | ||||||
| Overall, a hard hitting and bombastic offering from a legendary thrash metal band who helped shape the direction of thrash during the eighties, and still continue to do so. | ||||||
