Between Death And Chaos E.P.

Exkil are a thrash metal band from Brazil, releasing their debut E.P. 'Between Death And Chaos' in 2022...

...featuring four songs of ferocious thrash metal. With bands such as Megadeth, Metallica, and the bands extreme thrashing countrymen Sepultura as inspiration, the four piece from Sao Paulo are a barnstorming barrage of savagery. Their debut release hits hard - very hard, and kicks even harder...

...with opener 'No Time' gliding in on the crest of a mellow guitar passage, bursting into life in an explosion of sublime shredding, adopting a fast and furious pace - the blend of the aforementioned three bands easy to see, or rather hear! The more menacing feel of 'War' sets a chilling and eerie atmosphere as it creeps into sight, picking up pace and thundering forth with a melodic thrash metal sound. The kinda sound you'd hear from bands such as Death Angel, Flotsam And Jetsam, and the mighty Testament - Exkil landing firmly in these bands backyards!

Bringing a more sinister feel to the E.P. the band launch 'Rotten World' with snarling vocals and a menacing musical attitude - the kind of attitude that Dave Mustaine (and his band Megadeth) has portrayed for years. Exkil mixing up the thrash metal styles, offering a wide range of variety for listeners. Bringing 'Between Death And Chaos' E.P. to a close, 'Strike N Kill' returns the fast and furious pace of opener 'No Time' - the head bang ability at an all time high, along with the Metallica similarity...think early Metallica! All four songs on offer have been infectious and instantly likeable, keep an eye on these guys, I'm sure there's more to come!

Overall, a four song avalanche of heavy hitting thrash metal to head bang hard to and raise fists high in the air.
