Eufobia |
||||||
Eufobia are a melodic thrash/death metal band from Bulgaria forming in 2003, releasing the 'Cup Of Mud' demo in 2005. The band released their first album, 'Insemination' in 2010, with the follow up, 'Cup Of Mud' released the following year. Eufobia have toured all across Europe, playing at many festivals, sharing a stage with great bands such as Arch Enemy, Kreator, Vader, DragonForce, and many many more. The bands self titled third album was released in 2016.
Brutal, aggressive and in your face, all qualities that Eufobia have in abundance. And they have no fear in showing them either. The opening song 'Graveyard' is frenetic and raw, a pulsating barrage of savagery and gets the new album underway in blistering style. The pace of the album increases with 'Hater' charging off at high velocity, the level of brutality getting a lot harsher. 'Hater' is a thunderous thrash metal romp with death metal vocals - a striking combination that actually works very well. 'Liquid Of Creation' is lightning quick, flying by in a furious blur. Touches of melodic heavy metal are thrown in too, but doesn't take away any of the brutal savagery from the first two songs. Eufobia (the album) is a breathless barrage of pulsating thrash metal.
Less death metal, but one hundred percent full on and rampant thrash, 'Devotion' is a ferocious blast, cutting and thrusting through the airways with hurricane force. You better have flexible neck muscles because this album is gonna test their flexibility to the limit. Full of aggression and attitude, 'Fat Sack Of Shit' is a superb blend of death and thrash. Unrelenting and merciless, 'Fat Sack Of Shit' will take your breath away as it flies by. And oh my god, what a guitar sound as 'Unspoken' bares its teeth and fires into life. Aggressive and growled vocals adds to the immense destruction that 'Unspoken' wreaks, as it demolishes buildings, flattening small villages as it strides on by. If you're looking for an album to blow away cobwebs and test the limits of your head banging abilities, then look no further than this thirty minutes of hurricane force thrash,
'Lust' hints at the melodic nature of heavy metal once again, but ultimately, it's the death and thrash mix that stands up and beats you around the head. 'Lust' is savage, aggressive and attitude laden, as is the entire album actually. There is just no getting away from it. 'Scarecrow' is a lightning quick thrash metal assault, threatening to break the sound barrier such is its speed. The savage barrage has been unrelenting as the album has progressed, and there is absolutely no let up at all as the aggressive 'Cyber Pervert' is unleashed. Featuring a much harsher growled vocal performance than anywhere else on the album, 'Cyber Pervert' wreaks havoc as it romps along. The final song arrives all too soon, bringing the curtain down on a terrifying thirty minutes of savagery. 'Tears Of Defloration' is very much guitar led, yet still retains the savage nature of the preceding nine songs. A pulsating album of predominantly thrash metal with injections of death metal, Eufobia are hitting the heights with this release.
Overall, thirty minutes of a devastatingly savage and brutal mix of thrash and death metal, invoking violent head banging wherever it is played.
