The Curse Of Power E.P. |
||||||
Deathroned are a thrash metal band from France formed in 2012 releasing a demo in the same year and their debut E.P. in 2016.
A one minute 'Intro' sets a dark, moody and sinister tone for the E.P., building to a crescendo as 'Cut You Down' crashes in and brutalises the airwaves with a ferocious volley of hard riffing and venomous vocals. Pounding the senses with its relentless rhythm, 'Cut You Down' reminds me of legendary thrash metal band Nuclear Assault. With an urgency to their music Deathroned continues this barrage of brutality with 'Liberticide'. A much more raw feel and a definite in your face attitude, 'Liberticide' has some blazing guitar shredding and riffing, and will keep heads banging very hard.
Mid tempo and very thrashy, 'Terrible Disgrace' is brutal and brash. Blistering guitars and a screaming guitar solo with sinister vocals keeps 'Terrible Disgrace' snappy and stabby. This debut E.P. is an impressive effort of aggression and brutality and is brought to an end by the self titled 'Deathroned'. Blunt and brash, 'Deathroned' is an aggressive and ferocious slab of very heavy thrash metal.
Overall, aggression and brutality, pace and thrashy, this debut E.P. is in your face and full of attitude with some blistering guitars and a gravel edged vocal style.
