Heavy Rock N' Roll

Deadwolff are a metal & rock band from Canada founded in 2020 by Tommy Wolffe (bass, vocals), Bobby Deuce (guitars), and Angus Pike (drums). The bands debut album 'Heavy Rock N' Roll' was released in 2023...

...featuring a raucous rock and roll roller coaster of fast paced and energetic rock come metal! 'Heavy Rock N' Roll' is ten songs in just thirty four minutes - bursting in to life with the title song 'Heavy Rock N' Roll', accelerating quickly to a thunderous pace, assuming a blistering aural attack of head bang-able proportions! The band are in feisty mood, rocking very hard to deliver an exhilarating opening shot...

...that becomes a double shot - 'Homeward Bound' beefier than 'Heavy Rock N' Roll' (the song), yet more melodious at the same time! And the chant style chorus is gonna be lapped up by a live audience, with every single fan and follower screaming at the top of their lungs "homeward bound". Cracking stuff from the Canadian three-piece - who storm on with the thundering 'Walking On Nails'. The atmosphere of the album is electric, highly intense yet melodic, Deadwolff a driving force of energy that knows no limits! 'Walking On Nails' maintaining the energetic rampage, charging forth with a reckless rock and roll attitude that is so fucking infectious! Simply breathless - 'Heavy Rock N' Roll' (the album) striding on with the up tempo 'Down To The Wire'. In fact, all the songs so far have been up tempo, the band setting a scorching pace that's gonna leave smoke in its wake!

A simply barnstorming opening foursome becomes a fivesome - what the fuck spell check! There's a twosome, threesome and a foursome - so why not a fucking fivesome? Makes perfect sense to me! Anyway, the fifth song on offer 'Wanted Man', is a rumbling heavy hitter with so much addictiveness you'll be seeking therapy for many months to come! The band have delivered a spectacular mix of hard rock come heavy metal that it's just too difficult to pigeon hole them into the one style of music. But remember what the legendary Lemmy (Motorhead) said about his brand of music - "we're a rock 'n' roll band", when clearly Motorhead were a punk edged heavy metal band! Deadwolff, planting themselves in-between rock and metal, have opened their music up to a very wide audience indeed - 'Close Call' maintaining the albums gusto with a delicious old school sound. A sound that was prevalent during the early eighties rock revival and metal evolution, when bands such as Iron Maiden, Angel Witch, Motley Crue and Manowar etched a new style of music into history, err the future, err umm, both! With a weighty punch and an amazingly energetic drive, the band deliver a new anthem to the masses - 'Pedal To The Metal' a searing hard hitter that's gonna have listeners everywhere smiling from ear to ear.

The melodious intent of every song on offer is incredible, Deadwolff an unstoppable force in the field of hard rocking heavy metal - 'Six To Midnight' continuing the bands sonic assault with the utmost of aplomb! Every song is infectious and catchy with highly sing a long-able choruses - the band aiming for a phenomenal audience participation level, with listeners, fans, followers and concert goers all singing along in unison. Superb stuff from the three-piece powerhouse. And with an incredible upturn in pace and tempo, the band storm on with 'Locked And Loaded', featuring metal's iconic gallop and "foot on the monitor" feel - 'Heavy Rock N' Roll' (the album) finally falling fully into the heavy metal genre. And as we head for the final song, the emphatic power driven rock come metal style has proved to be an absolute winner in my opinion - 'Gang Wracks' heralding a glorious metal finale! The raucous rock and roll feel, the heavy head banging nature, the bold and brash style, 'Gang Wracks' has it all. What a wonderful end to a wonderful album full of surprises - ten surprises actually!

Overall, a hard kicking heavy hitting album of raucous hard rock come heavy metal, totally head bang-able and one hundred percent infectious.
