Thriller Killer

Damn Dice are a hard rock band from the UK formed in 2011 who, in 2013 released the E.P. 'Wild 'N' Ready'. 2015 saw the release of the bands' first full length album 'The Great Unknown', bringing an incredible response from fans everywhere. Damn Dice have performed at a number of UK festivals, including Hard Rock Hell and Breaking Bands. 'Thriller Killer' is the bands second album and was released in 2018.

If you like your hard rock heavy, and your heavy metal hard, then look no further than the explosive second album from British based rockers Damn Dice. Their new album 'Thriller Killer' transcends the border between hard rock and heavy metal, and will appeal equally to fans of both genres. Exploding into life, 'Thrill Of The Kill' hits the ground running, furiously chugging and relentlessly romping. Infectious and addictive in the same measures, 'Thrill Of The Kill' is an exhilarating opener...an exhilaration that continues with the heavier hitting 'Stories I Write', rampaging by like a stampeding horde of rhino. Damn Dice are at their most ferocious, all guns blazing furiously as the album steams ahead with 'This Time'. Hard hitting and full of thunder, 'This Time' is British hard rock at its finest, adding a sing a long able style chorus for added excitement. High tempo, high energy and highly addictive, 'Turn Back The Clock' is a mighty mid tempo foot stomp. It's an arrogant and in your face foray of fiery attitude. Twelve songs across forty minutes, and at only one third of the way through, 'Thriller Killer' is turning in a killer performance.

Smacking you around the head with more force than a MMA champion fighter, 'Leaving With Nothing' is gonna knock you senseless. Battered, bruised and trampled all over is the only outcome of listening to 'Leaving With Nothing'. Plasters and bandages are for the weak, the strong will stand up and say "is that all you've got?"...and in the mighty shape of the heavy foot stomper 'Fire Below', the answer is a very loud and resounding "no!". Damn Dice are hitting all the sweet spots with their sophomore album, tingling all the senses and sending shivers down the spine. 'Got To Know' keeps the excitement levels high with some of the heaviest riffage heard on the album so far. Adding a huge amount of the melodic across the chorus break, 'Got To Know' is anthemic and will have fans manically singing along. 'Blood And Tears' brings a touch of the Southern rock swagger to the album, and also the slightest hint of blues rock. Grab your beer, raise it high and salute a cracking party anthem as 'Thriller Killer' delivers all thriller and no filler.

Storming out of the blocks like a champion sprinter, 'Back Again' quickly accelerates to high velocity, shaking the ground it races across. 'Back Again' can be viewed as fairly prophetic, as Damn Dice are definitely "back again", but then, did they ever actually go away! Hitting very hard, 'Behind You' hits with the force of a tsunami, leaving a desolate wasteland in its wake. In the genre of rock, you will have to search long and very deep to find another band that delivers this brand of heavy metal inspired hard rock. Oh man, there's that Southern rock swagger again, and it's even heavier this time. 'What A Life' is a staggering romp of savage riffs, spreading pain and hurt to every single sense in the human body. As I mentioned earlier, Damn Dice have hit the sweet spot with their latest offering, and as the final song comes scurrying over the horizon, I began thinking that this was gonna be a ballad free hard rock album... Almost made it, 'Find Me' dips a single toe into ballad territory, the rest of the body remaining firmly in the hard rock genre. One of the most powerful power ballads you're ever likely to hear, you will be in two minds whether to raise your lighters, your hands or your beer...

Overall, a thrilling ride of hard rock and heavy metal influenced killer songs that will get the adrenalin pumping and leave you a little short of breath.
