All Of Them Slain |
||||||
Counterhold are a heavy metal band from the UK formed in 2009.
Influenced by legendary bands Iron Maiden, Lamb Of God, Pantera, System Of A Down and AC/DC, Counterhold launch their brand of heavy power metal with the release of 'All Of Them Slain'.
'Disease' kicks off the album in bombastic fashion, with great guitar riffs and powerful vocals. 'Time To Die' and 'Out For Dead' are both catchy rock songs, with the latter, surely to become a crowd sing-a-long favourite.
'Hellsgates' ups the tempo and races along furiously. 'The Beast Within' and 'Fatal Taunt' are solid foot tapping rock songs. 'Walk On Water' is a departure from the full on metal heard so far, with its acoustic moments and thoughtful vocals it certainly has a ballad feel to it. Heavy metal returns with 'Stand Or Die' and 'Children Of A Lesser God' with 'Victim Of A Parasite' displaying a strong Judas Priest influence.
'Get Out' is six minutes of epic heavy rock, 'Inner Scream' is another acoustic fuelled ballad style song before (bonus song) 'Isolation' kicks in and finishes the album like it began...with heavy power metal.
Overall, an album full of heavy power metal, great guitar work and powerful vocals confirming that British heavy metal is still alive.
