Bringer Of Pain |

Battle Beast are a female fronted heavy metal band from Finland formed in 2008 who released their debut album in 2011. A change of lead singer occurred in 2012 and their second, self titled album 'Battle Beast', was released in 2013. The bands third album 'Unholy Savior' was released in 2015 with fourth album 'Bringer Of Pain' a 2017 release.
The new album from Battle Beast is their third release in four years and proudly builds on what they have achieved so far. Bombastic and melodic hard rock with a heavy metal influence, the new album gets underway with 'Straight To Your Heart'. Head bangingly addictive, Battle Beast are delivering a brand of power metal with an impact and intensity that I first heard during the eighties with legendary bands W.A.S.P. and Manowar. In singer Noora Louhimo, Battle Beast have an exceptional vocalist with an immense talent. Her voice has a staggering range and the performance on this album is faultless. Pace is increased with the title song 'Bringer Of Pain' screaming along with rhythms of thunder and an infectious nature second to none. Guitars and keyboards working in perfect harmony, 'Bringer Of Pain' is an electrifying blast. Heavy, melodic and foot stomping, 'King For A Day' is a hard hitting huge slab of rock and has a rhythm that reminds me a little bit of 'Stayin' Alive' (by The Bee Gees). The vocals too are simply stunning and Battle Beast are confirming their position as one of the leading lights in the heavy power metal genre.
With a heavier feel and a thundering rhythm, 'Beyond The Skies' is addictive heavy metal that will have you head banging in one hundred percent appreciation of a superb song. Battle Beast have that special, magical element that is setting them apart from many other bands, and the impact they are making is shaking the world to its core. With every album release, the band are just getting better and better and with 'Familiar Hell' delivering an infectious and mind blowing experience. Foot stompingly addictive that will bring a smile two miles wide to the faces of fans the world over, 'Familiar Hell' will have you involuntarily chanting the chorus at the top of your voice. Throughout history, there have been bands that generate so much excitement and change that they become legends and I believe that Battle Beast are one of those bands. 'Lost In Wars' is the heaviest song on the album, so heavy that buildings will crumble under its weight. It is a brutal departure from the bands signature sound, introducing cameo male vocals by Tomi Joutsen, from Finnish heavy metal band Amorphis. 'Lost In Wars' is also proof that the band are willing to experiment with their signature sound and push boundaries to the limit.
Intensity and energy rises high as 'Bastard Son Of Odin' romps into life and chugs relentlessly on and on with a catchy sing a long chorus. 'Bastard Son Of Odin' has duelling guitars, a galloping rhythm and a powerful vocal performance. However, the best vocal performance on the album is reserved for the anthemic, Manowar-esque 'We Will Fight'. The vocal range of the bands lead singer is phenomenal and is stretched to its limits as 'We Will Fight' majestically struts its stuff, and encourages fans to chant "we will fight". Lowering the tone and pace, 'Dancing With The Beast' introduces elements of pop...yep, I just said pop! 'Dancing With The Beast' is still a hard hitting, sharp edged song with an ability to get your feet tapping without you even realising it. The album is brought to a close with the power ballad 'Far From Heaven' with its much mellower feel and faultless vocal delivery. It is time to get your lighters out, hold them aloft and salute a great album that will push Battle Beast further towards global domination.
Overall, a superb album of hard hitting, punchy and sharp edged heavy hard rock with a stunning vocal performance, Battle Beast continue to make a huge impact on the world stage.
